Structured Underwriter
Business Unit: GE Commercial Finance, Capital SolutionsFunction: Risk ManagementResponsibilities: -Responsible for underwriting lease and loan transactions from the initial structuring and credit investigation stage through formal credit approval.
Drive transaction structuring to mitigate credit weaknesses, and assist in negotiating appropriate documentation.
Early, proactive engagement with Sales in structuring transactions and meeting business needs, taking complete ownership of transactions once awarded.
Prepare in-depth investment/credit analyses with presentations to senior Risk Management as needed.
Cross-functional responsibility for transaction underwriting, ensuring adequate input from Finance, Legal and Asset Management teams.
Manage deal flow from inception through booking and funding.
Own document package, making exceptions where appropriate and within assigned credit authority.
Mentor documentation team members through transaction process.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: -Minimum five years credit experience in a commercial leasing or lending environment working on structured transactions (>$250,000).
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-pace, matrix environment, focusing on meeting customer needs while maintaining strict adherence to internal policies and procedures.Desired: -Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Finance, or related field, MBA or CFA preferred.
Experience underwriting in IT space.
Familiarity with Siebel, Ice, Cheetah.
Six Sigma Quality training/certification.
