Sr. Underwriter
Business Unit: GE Commercial Finance, Real EstateFunction: Risk ManagementResponsibilities: As a Senior Underwriter with the North American Lending Division of GE Commercial Finance, Real Estate, this individual will be responsible for performing all aspects of underwriting and due diligence for debt and equity real estate transactions
Underwriting multiple asset types and markets (all property types (office,retail, multi-family, industrial)
Preparing and presenting final underwriting due diligence .... defending and supporting the conclusions
Participating in process improvement efforts and support quality initiatives
Specific tasks would include reviewing and analyzing relevant documentation, performing site inspections and market analyses, modeling property cash flows and valuations, and presenting findings
Mentoring less experienced underwriters.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree required
A minimum of 5 year real estate underwriting experience including debt and equity investments
Strong computer skills: Excel, Powerpoint, Word, Argus
Strong analytical skills: discounted cash flow (DCF), IRR, ROI, ROE etc.
Experience with loan/equity documents; note purchase experience a plus
