Sr. Property Damage Claims Coordinator

Central Parking System (NYSE: CPC), a global leader in the parking business and transportation management industry has an outstanding career opportunity for an experienced Sr. Property Damage Claims Coordinator. The position is responsible for the evaluation and settlement of routine and complex automobile property damage claims including controlling rental and storage fees.



Description:

Under the guidance of the Claims Manager manage a caseload of complex claims through thorough and effective investigation. Maintain a current and accurate diary, investigate claims within appropriate time frames, take statements and set reserves based on an analysis of liability and/or damages. Negotiate and settle claims that may involve a liability analysis. Interact with Operations field staff, vehicle owners and local vendors to conclude claims and minimize expenses, while ensuring customer satisfaction. Generate reports and maintain organized pending claim files while achieving a 100% closing ratio. Prepare and submit Arbitration paperwork and assist lesser experienced adjusters on their files. Anticipate and rectifying potential work flow issues that may interfere with production and customer service. Caseload will be complex with a high percentage of total losses or heavily damaged vehicles. May handle or assist in the handling of property damage on cases involving Bodily Injury that are pending in the Bodily Injury unit.



Skills and Knowledge Required:

1. Excellent communication, organizational, writing, documentation, presentation, negotiating and investigative skills

2. Thorough understanding of tort law, automobile nomenclature and jurisdictional requirements for processing title paperwork, etc.

3. Ability to understand and adhere to fiduciary guidelines and be accountable for meeting company defined performance goals

4. Excellent computer knowledge and skills

5. Outstanding organizational skills with an ability to schedule and follow up on future claim activity

6. Ability to produce a high volume of work in a fast paced evolving environment

7. Be self motivated with the willingness to learn as well as teach in a team environment



Experience Required:

Five plus years of technical claims experience preferred

Bachelors degree preferred or equivalent industry experience
