Sr Product Mgr
Serve as a marketing professional who can assess marketing opportunities and recommend course of action relating to product offerings and market segments. Manages the creation of actionable market segment strategy for the commercial and individual market segments. Contributes to the strategic planning process. Provides assistance to the Director in coaching and training other Product Managers.
REPRESENTATIVE JOB DUTIES :
Lead the team responsible for the development of strategy recommendations for the municipal, large, national, small and individual market segments. This will include analyzing national, regional and local trends as well as knowledge of the competitive environment. Present strategy recommendations to Division leadership as well as the Senior Management team.
Formulate strategies and recommend product changes based on an analysis of market segment needs and trends.
Assist the Director with training of staff and with evaluation of market segment strategy. Utilize past experience in marketing plans, including the ability to conduct product review and audits.
Develop and present marketing strategies and product reports to a variety of audiences. Good presentation skills will be needed. Competitive research and analytical skills will be required to develop strategies.
Develop product and communication strategies for integration with the Marketing Plan.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Knowledge of:
Marketing, healthcare and business administration.
Technical Skills:
Research skills
Analytical skills
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, facilitation, team leadership, and problem solving skills.
Strong presentation and negotiation skills.
Ability to:
Handle multiple priorities.
Exercise sound judgment.
Take initiative in finding solutions to difficult and/or sensitive problems.
Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelorâ??s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Healthcare Administration or applicable combination of education and work experience.
5-7 years of experience in a professional position in Marketing, Product Management or Healthcare Administration.
Preferred Education, Additional Qualifications and Experience:
Experience in marketing research or marketing communications would be helpful.
Experience in the marketing of managed care products.
