Homeowner Claims Adjuster

Horace Mann has an opportunity for a motivated, experienced insurance claims professional to provide top-level service to our clients We are seeking effective communicators with excellent time management and organizational skills for a position in the St. Charles, MO claim office. The primary role will be coordinating and completing investigations, evaluations, negotiations, recommend litigation when necessary, and settlement of first party homeowner property damage and homeowner liability claim handling.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifying Criteria:
•College degree or equivalent experience.
•5+ years claims adjusting experience.
•Demonstrated experience with complex homeowner claims
•Proven property liability adjusting experience
•Strong negotiation/investigative/analytical skills
•Familiar with MSB estimating platform
•Excellent communication/ time management/ organizational skills.
•Working knowledge of various insurance contracts.
•Knowledge of State and Civil Law
•Computer skills
•Must be eligible to work in the United States for purposes other than practical training and if hired, supply the proper documentation per federal law. We do not sponsor any full-time, part-time or temporary Visas.
