Senior Commercial Property Claims Examiner

Responsibilities: Examiner will have extensive contact with insured’s, vendors, agents and all other parties involved in the claims process and is responsible for a caseload of Commercial Property Claims. The examiner handles claims requiring detailed investigation and evaluation of loss origin, coverage and damages. The examiner interprets policy language and negotiates with clients, contractors, and service providers to settle claims within policy guidelines. Examiner handles the following type of exposures: Commercial building, contents, stock, business income, extra expense and/or fidelity type of losses.Qualifications: Proven skills in customer service, negotiating, decision making, planning and organizing are essential. Candidates must possess strong analytical skills and be able to work successfully in a team environment. Strong organizational, problem-solving and decision making capabilities also required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. Applicant should possess proven skills such as: timely decision making, decision quality, negotiation skills, priority setting, composure under pressure, curious mindset and conflict management with an overall desire to provide great service and results.Will consider candidates for either a Seattle or Spokane location.
Will consider candidates at the Examiner level as well as Sr level, DOE.
