Responsible for architecture and application framework. Facilitate the application development process by providing expert guidance to development teams. Must be a central source of expertise to provide for synergies in the form of reduced development & product cycle times. Act as a resource in helping each of the business units quickly move products and applications to market. Work within the Application Development Groups, establish systems design, development protocols and / or selection of application software.
Perform advisory role on complex projects
Leverage and communicate corporate SW development standards
Assist with planning for capacity and hardware /systems design
Identify common components and leverage them across Application Development Groups
Coordinate activities with others on technical team
Serve as a senior technical subject matter expert
Analyzing/Evaluating possible application architecture solutions for a new applications
Engaging in the decision-making process relative to best application architecture
Collaborating with enterprise architects to create an application architecture that meets key business objectives while complying with corporate standards
Communicating and coordinating with corporate support organizations to ensure that the selected architecture's infrastructure requirements are identified and satisfied
Guiding and assisting development team in implementing chosen architecture
Preparing materials/presentations on chosen application architecture for business partners and for members of the application development team
Sharing technical knowledge and mentoring others

Job Requirements:
Master's Degree or equivalent experience.
Leadership experience with teams and projects with company wide scope.
Comprehensive hands-on experience in Internet-based technologies needed, including web servers and browsers, middleware, firewalls and OOP techniques.
Experience in the commercial software development industry
Experience in Enterprise/ Internet / E-Commerce commercial software development environments,
Demonstrated ability to prioritize the work effort across geographically distributed teams and ensure that tasks are completed on schedule
Excellent communication skills, including active listening and the ability to present complex ideas in concise written and verbal descriptions which are easily understood by both technical and non-technical audiences
Ability to modify one's behavioral style to respond to the needs of others while maintaining own objectives
Aggressive problem solver who can provide creative solutions to complex situations and obtain "buy-in" from affected parties
