Our Bristol West team is looking for a motivated and experienced SIU Investigator. This opportunity is based in Charleston, South Carolina.

This position is responsible for the identification and investigation of suspicious insurance claims and to provide facts to support their resolution.

•Conduct investigations into suspicious claims and insurance applications referred.
•Provide advice and consultation to Claims Managers and others.
•Conduct interviews, take statements and take examinations under oath as appropriate.
•Develop strategies for completion of investigations and make recommendations to Claims Representatives and Management on further handling.
•Act as liaison with law enforcement agencies and assist in civil and criminal prosecutions when appropriate.
•Assist in the training of fraud awareness and recognition programs.
•Supervise contracts with outside investigative vendors.
•Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS
Qualified candidates will have:
Education
•Bachelors degree preferred or equivalent industry related experience
•Prior college accredited coursework in law enforcement preferred

Experience & Skills
•Minimum 5 years industry investigative experience
•Previous insurance industry experience
•Ability to prepare comprehensive investigative reports and documentation for legal proceedings and court presentations
•Ability to provide training to Claims employees
•Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
•Ability to interact with highest levels of Management
•Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
•Current valid driver’s license and ability to qualify for Company car operation under the Bristol West Company Car Policy
