Risk Manager

ENTER JOB TITLE

Select Comfort, Minnesota-based Creator of the Sleep Number® Bed and the nation's #1 ranked bedding retailer for each of the past 6 years running (Furniture Today, 2000-2005), is seeking a Risk Manager for our corporate headquarter offices in Plymouth.

Responsibilities:

Identify, evaluate, quantify and recommend techniques to manage risks to the Company and its affiliates through cost effective risk transfer and retention

Evaluate and manage claims against the Company and its insurers

Evaluate and assist other areas of the Company in maintaining a safe place to work including supporting the efforts of the Manager of Environmental Health and Safety

Ensure that all risk and insurance related costs are budgeted, forecasted and properly accounted for in the financial statements

Manage relationships with insurance brokers and insurers including negotiation of renewals, reporting and managing claims, implementing safety initiatives, etc.
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements:

Minimum of B.A. in risk management, business administration or related field - M.B.A. a plus

Associate in Risk Management (ARM) preferred

Minimum of 8 years in corporate risk management and related fields

Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite

Strong analytical ability and communication skills

Ability to work independently and interact with personnel in all levels of the Company

Some travel may be required
