Risk Management Unit Manager

Lockton is currently seeking a Risk Management Unit Manager. This individual will be responsible for the servicing and marketing needs of Lockton clients to maximize company revenue, and build and maintain client, carrier, and associate relationships.
DUTIES
1.Manage the pre- and post-renewal process for the unit.
2.Manage the cross sell and new business efforts of the unit as appropriate.
3.Manage the coordination of all Support Services for the unit including service plan documentation and feedback from service units and producers.
4.Build and maintain strong relationships with carrier markets.
5.Accountable for Information Sharing compliance and communicating with Business Information Services Group.
6.Accountable for monitoring potential E&O situations and ensuring the absence of E&O Claims.
7.Recruit, develop and retain all unit associates.
8.Conduct annual performance appraisals and provide opportunities for associate growth.
9.Implement appropriate human resources policies and procedures within the unit.
REQUIREMENTS
1.Extensive working knowledge of commercial property/casualty coverages, service, and programs.
2.Extensive experience in marketing and servicing the insurance needs of commercial accounts.
3.Fully understands the concept, issues, and overall impact of market pricing.
4.Consistently demonstrated ability to instill confidence with clients so that the client looks to you and to Lockton as more than just an insurance broker, but as a partner in business.
5.Extensive experience in evaluating client needs for risk management services.
6.Consistently proven ability to organize and manage time in order to meet deadlines.
7.Ability to assess, coach and mentor unit associates.
8.Ability to identify developmental needs of Associates.
9.Ability to effectively interview and hire prospective Associates.
10.Firm understanding of Human Resource policies and procedures and ability to implement and/or know when to escalate.
11.Ability to provide clear direction to associates in managing their clients.
12.Proven ability to handle management issues: Associates, Projects, Resources, etc.
13.Proven leadership and problem solving skills, including resolving unusual and complex issues (internal and external issues).
14.Ability to compile, analyze, and interpret financial information and data to facilitate decision-making.
15.Consistently demonstrated high analytical and problem-solving skills.
16.Consistently demonstrated interpersonal communication skills and ability to interact with Associates at all levels of responsibility.
17.Personal presence to interface with top management of other businesses, representing Lockton in the highest professional manner.
18.Demonstrated presentation skills (preparation and execution).
19.Working knowledge of Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook) or similar software applications.
20.Consistently demonstrated professional, tactful negotiation and persuasion skills to achieve objectives.
21.Consistently demonstrated understanding of when to proceed alone and when to involve the Producer or others.
22.Expanded industry knowledge through experience and/or course work.
23.Accountability and interaction with providers, developing relationships beyond just interacting when we need something.
24.Working closely with our insurance companies to attain mutual goals for the betterment/growth of the agency.
25.Ability to travel to meet the needs of the customers.
26.Ability to handle stressful situations in a calm collective manner.
27.Ability to multi-task many issues at once.
28.Ability to evaluate account and decide if services and revenue received are “in line”.
29.Participate in discussions with other management team and decide if prospect is worthwhile pursuing as a new business opportunity.
