Job Description:
Manage and mentor staff for proper handling of WC claims by following best practices for claims handling and ensure a high level of customer service within the assigned unit.

Candidate will be responsible for the supervision of 6 or more Claim Analysts.

Will oversee best practices for Litigation Management and respond to settlement authority for claims analysts and TPA’s.

Must be able to communicate with all levels in the organization with the emphasis on both internal and external customers.

Will provide staffing for audits on an “as needed” basis, track account/claims reassignments, and generate early warning reports to underwriting.

Will be responsible for editing the Executive Claim Summary reports.

The position involves 10-15% travel requirement to facilitate customer claim reviews.

Must be organized, thorough and able to consistently meet deadlines.

Must be able to motivate and lead a team to ensure a high level of customer service is delivered at all times.

Candidate should have a college degree and 10 yrs or more experience handling moderate to severe WC indemnity claims.

Advanced knowledge of coverage/liability issues, investigative techniques, adjusting and underwriting concepts, reinsurance, reserve analysis, negotiations, defense management, and recovery is required. US Longshoreman’s, Medicare Set Aside and Disability Management knowledge is also a must.

Multiple venue experience is a plus as this position covers domestic USA.

Keyboard abilities are a must in what will soon be a paperless environment.

Word document proficiency required, some basic excel, and power point experience are a plus.

Email management is critical.
