We are looking for your expertise to provide and be responsible for
establishing policies and procedures to ensure that
AQS' quality efforts meet customer's needs and expectations.
You would maintain responsibility for accurate measurement and
over site of the quality of all company products.
You would also be responsible for managing the day to day operations of the quality assurance staff to enable their success in their daily responsibilities and meet internal and external quality requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Provide leadership, mentoring and training to the Quality Control (QC) staff and evaluate and determine appropriate staff structure.
Develop measurable team and individual goals that support continuous improvement with internal and external clients. Monitors progress towards achievement of the goals and develops and conducts appropriate performance planning.
Involved in the creation, modification and development of the Software Engineering Process Metrics and software build process (Configuration Management) to ensure efficiency and accuracy of the output software.
Conduct project meetings to establish and review QC plans, to coordinate processes and procedures between departments, and to establish responsibilities and plans for attaining objectives.
Interacts with the workflow process to reinforce the efficient use of internal resources within and outside of the QC staff. Monitors resources and suggests or makes adjustments as needed.
Develops, coordinates and implements testing of business and functional process for all AQS products during system development and quality assurance process.
Monitors and documents post-implementation problems and revision requests.
Work with project team to manage and prioritize software bugs.
Works closely with all staff including software engineering, project/product managers and production support to deliver a quality release according to client specifications and timeline.
Create and execute plan for automating QC efforts, including automated test passes, bug verification, and test environment configuration.
Establishes and communicates scheduled reporting of metrics to internal QC staff and cross-functional department members.
Identify, evaluate and justify third-party resources (tools, consultants, contractors) to management.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications:Candidate will have experience in testing applications for multiple platforms that are integrated with third party applications.We would prefer four or more years of QC experience and one or more year’s managerial experience in an insurance or software products environment. Experience setting up .NET and database test environments and applications, automated functional testing tools experience, development experience, scripting languages and software development life cycle and skilled with in-depth understanding of software QC process. Additional experience required in implementing Software QC Process standards, product QC experience, managing SQA teams and resource plans. Solid experience required in the area of SQA tools including TestDirector, Winrunner, Loadrunner, Silk etc. Additional knowledge / experience needed with automated load / performance testing tool experience (Load Runner or Rational Load Test), HTML, 2000, XP, 2003, Oracle, DB2 and SQL, working with bug tracking systems (PVCS Tracker, TeamTrack, TestTrack, etc.)BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Quality Engineering or related discipline preferred.Knowledge of the insurance industry is preferred.
