Property Quality Reinspector
Position Description:This position, through observation, evaluation and training, will work with the core property leadership team and the SEP team to conduct quality reviews and closed file reviews of the claim adjustment processes utilized by both our Chubb staff, IA’s, and our vendor network to enhance the delivery of service and technical expertise to Chubb customers. This job posting provides the selected candidate an opportunity to apply their service and technical skills to ensure consistency and accuracy in: the claim adjustment process, the validation of damages (property and contents), and identification and resolution of OSA training opportunities and vendor opportunities to correct or enhance service.
REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge and Skills:
Candidates should possess a minimum of five years of Outside property claims adjusting experience and have: a knowledge of insurance contracts, investigative techniques, legal requirements and regulations; an ability to develop and maintain strong business relationships with internal (WTO, the SEP team, core staff) and external (Insured, agent, vendor) customers; a strong demonstrated knowledge of Lotus Notes, Word, Excel, Boeckh, Tablet PC, and X-claims; a knowledge of current construction methods and costs; an ability to write their own estimates and complete both a contents and building (personal/commercial) valuation; excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong customer service orientation; strong analytical and negotiation skills; experience in training others on claim handling practices; a strong understanding of the SEP guidelines.Position Requirements:Quality reinspectors will be required to: reinspect open and closed claims involving OSAs, IAs and other vendors in order to review the claim adjustment process and validate the loss inspection, nature of the loss, coverage provided, scope of damage, and Boeckh estimate; work with the SEP team and core leadership team to identify OSA training opportunities in the application of technology and the adherence to the SEP guidelines; contact insureds and IAs; maintain an active diary of reinspections and training opportunities; adhere to all statutory regulations and unfair claim practices acts; effectively communicate with all internal and external customers; as needed, conduct SEP closed file reviews; as needed, travel outside your territory to assist other offices with catastrophic losses.
