Property/Casualty Adjuster

As a leader in the insurance industry, we are seeking an individual committed to providing quality customer service to our policyholders and claimants. Our adjusters work primarily in the field gathering documentation and evidence in the investigation of a variety of claims the majority of which are homeowners. Within an assigned territory, adjusters locate and meet with policyholders, claimants, witnesses and police officers to conduct personal interviews and take signed or recorded statements. Adjusters also photograph accident scenes and damaged property.

Adjusters interact and negotiate with attorneys, and legal proceedings. Adjusters will be required to understand medical terminology and common medical practices, as well as home construction and repair. A four-year degree and previous property adjusting experience are prerequisites.

An adjuster must possess self-discipline, self-motivation, and time-management skills to work independently and with minimal supervision. Adjusters should be assertive by nature with the ability to think quickly in adversarial situations. They must be willing to work irregular hours as job needs dictate. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are also required.
