OSD Supervisor

Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Knowledge of property and casualty insurance required.
A minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience is required, preferably of groups of 10+.
Candidate must be able to demonstrate strong leadership and interpersonal skills; proven ability to motivate and develop others; reflect a positive team attitude; demonstrate the ability to interact professionally with all levels and respond to multiple accountabilities.

Candidate must be able to balance multiple tasks and priorities; demonstrate solid process management skills; work independently and take responsibility for decisions.

Candidate must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.

Technology skills in large company database systems, MS Word and Excel are required; basic understanding of business accounting principles.



Posting Description : Supervise NY Branch OSD staff in account management, policy production and customer services for primarily Fortune 1000 clients. Overall responsibilities include daily management of operations, technical training and support for staff and internal customers, performance and career development of staff, workflow management and quality assurance. Specific responsibilities include monitoring workflow, developing and implementing procedures to ensure all service standards and goals are met, ensuring compliance to underwriting, quality and regulatory requirements. Play an integral role in hiring, development, retention and compensation of underwriting support staff. Effectively manage labor capacity through the development of short and long term strategies to meet objectives within time and cost constraints. Must collaborate effectively with underwriting management and staff to meet and exceed established objectives.
