Manager, Unit Operations In this position, you will oversee the daily operations of Insurance Departments Operations Units, ensuring that all insurance documents received are processed and insurance premiums are paid for all impounded accounts. Focus will be on reducing uninsured losses and minimizing financial exposure, while simultaneously reducing operating expenses. Involves setting objectives and goals as necessary and ensuring that all department productivity and quality standards are being met. Prepares annual departmental budget, develops staff professionalism and assists in working with MIS and departmental analysts in order to develop controls and systems to improve quality and productivity of staff. Incumbent will also work with vendors to ensure operational efficiencies are met and help with planning and forecasting future needs surrounding staff and space. Contributes in creating and coordinating recognition programs, including award ceremonies and department celebrations to promote and maintain morale.

The successful candidate will have a BS in Business Administration, Finance or related field and 5+ years experience in mortgage banking, real estate, insurance or other closely related field, along with 2-3 years in a supervisory role, directly mentoring, coaching and dealing with staff issues. Expertise in budgeting, business planning and accountability requirements for expenditures is a must, as is knowledge of general loan servicing activity, customer service issues and insurance terms. Familiarity with PC based systems, including Dbase files and uploading/downloading/analyzing data and reporting results is essential. The team player we seek must be an excellent communicator, highly organized and able to multi-task.
