MedPro has a full-time opening in our Family Medicine Department for a certified Medical Assistant to work part time with providers in an assisted living center and the remaining time with the hospitalists. Responsibilities include front and back office duties such as scheduling patients, preparing charts, rooming patients, vital signs, referrals, authorizations, following up on lab work and medical record requests, notifying PCPs of patient admissions and assuring hospital discharge summaries are sent to PCPs. Daily travel between Peoria and central Phoenix required, mileage reimbursed.
REQUIREMENTS
Pleasant phone manner, excellent people skills, and basic computer knowledge are required. Knowledge of insurance and lab services preferred. Candidate must have certification as a medical assistant. Reliable transportation a must.
