LAN SUPPORT ANALYST

The position is located in Rancho Cordova, CA
The purpose of the department is to support technology for employees and sales
The scope of this job is to develop MS Access databases, SQL databases, .NET web applications and intranet content using VB.Net or C# programming. In addition, the position is responsible to assist the LAN team with infrastructure projects and workstation support when needed.
The individual will be responsible for
1. Determine clients needs and develop a mechanized solution to meet the business need.
2. Documenting and communicating project status to management.
3. For large development projects, document project plans and requirements. Comment all code.
4. Work in cross functional team environment. Train others to provide back-up support/employee development.
5. Assist with LAN support for regional employees when requested.
REQUIREMENTS
The skills required are:
1. Advanced - Extensive knowledge and experience with SQL/Oracle programming and development. Access database development/design.
2. Intermediate - HTML, JavaScript, CSS, IIS
3. Advanced - ASP.Net, Crystal Reports, C# or VB.net, AJAX
4. Intermediate - Understanding of Computer Networks, Windows XP, Office 2003
Experience Required:
Experience working on projects that require the languages and databases listed above either in a college environment or in the workforce.
Computer Proficiency:
A very high level of programming skill along with some networking proficiency.
Education:
College Degree - Preferred
Major preference: Computer Science
