SAFECO is looking for a highly accomplished individual to join our Sales Team in the Atlanta area. This position demands a professional with a track record of success; one who is goal oriented and results driven.Summary:Accountable for growth for Safeco P&C
Commercial lines experience preferred
Atlanta Area TerritoryResponsibilities:
Accountable for profitable growth and new business production goals with assigned agents. Develops new agents and identifies emerging distribution opportunities in the territory. Develops a sales plan with each assigned agency which includes sales commitments within a specified time frame. Prepares for agency calls by analyzing agency specific data with follow up in a regular agency call report. Serves as focal point for agency and company interaction. Provides analysis and assessment of sales results within assigned territory. Share responsibility for planning annual objectives for each agency, measuring and monitoring the results, and ultimately exceeding his or her annual objectives for the sales territory. Position may require overnight travel in assigned field up to approximately 20% of the time.Qualifications:
Demonstrated successful sales experience with a P & C insurance organization. Commercial lines experience preferred. Strong track record demonstrating business development expertise. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of agency operations. Strong organizational and time management skills (planning, managing priorities and follow through). Ability to solve problems and make decisions (identifying, evaluating, formulating, and implementing). Effectively manages and maintains peer and business relationships with high degrees of integrity and trust. Computer literate with a good understanding of Internet and agency management systems. Four-year degree or equivalent industry experience required.
