What is the process to becoming an American Family Agent?Successfully obtaining Property, Casualty, Life and Health Insurance licenses, various background checks, performance evaluations, and interviews are all part of the approval process. These steps help the candidate, and American Family, decide if the agent career is right for them. Obtaining Series 6 and 63 Security licenses are also required within the first 12 months of owning and operating an agency with American Family Insurance.
Training and support offered by American Family Insurance to new agentsTraining consists of educational and field experiences designed to provide the core skills, knowledge, and personal characteristics needed to be effective American Family agents. New agents will be coached and evaluated often by their District Manager.
