If so, do we have the opportunity for you! At Assurant Health we are looking for you to join us as an Underwriting Technician, which is your first step in the wonderful world of underwriting. As an underwriting technician you will be responsible for supporting the underwriters by registering application information, ordering various medical requirements, and investigating applicant's insurance claim histories. If that doesn't sound intriguing enough, you will also be responsible for processing premium receipts, coordinating offers with agents, applicants, and other internal departments and finalizing applications for final action. REQUIREMENTS


Successful candidates must have strong written and verbal communication skills, be energetic individuals with knowledge of basic insurance and medical terminology, key 40 WPM, and able to coordinate multiple high priority tasks while working in a team environment. Customer Service experience is also helpful. Following training, Underwriting Technicians are expected to maintain their overall skill set and remain well-versed on all aspects of the underwriting support and policy generation processes.
