Director of Commercial Lines Underwriting

Responsibilities include the day-to-day management of the underwriting department in the Vermont branch. This position is responsible for the supervision and development of the underwriting team. Opportunities and challenges include taking a lead position in the execution of Acadia’s underwriting and marketing strategies, reviewing individual risk opportunities with underwriters, conducting performance evaluations, and developing agency relationships, to name a few.
REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate will have a college degree, a minimum of 10 years of commercial underwriting experience (preferably in Vermont) and three to five years experience in underwriting management. Excellent written and oral communication skills are crucial.
