Defense Litigation Claims Examiner

Job Description

Responsibilities include direct handling of claims from initial notice to resolution. Maintain superior service to our customers in adjusting claims. Expectations include: conducting appropriate investigations; maintaining proper reserves; analyze coverage and issue written coverage positions; participate in ADR forums and monitor trials/proceedings as necessary. Enforce litigation management issues by proper review and payment of defense billing statements and preparation of correspondence addressing litigation management issues.

Candidate should have knowledge of legal terminology, general litigation procedures, and legal research skills; advanced organization and time management skills; strong analytical and effective communication skills required, as is a knowledge of Microsoft office applications. Must be detail oriented, eager to learn and accept new challenges, and be able to work with minimal supervision.
