DME Coordinator

Responsible for the daily review, authorization and coordination of durable medical equipment and supply requests using national and insurance specific guidelines.Communicate with health plan providers, members and payors to coordinate the administrative and clinical activities related to DME and homecare supplies
Process referrals, authorizations and recertifications to network providers using computer system
Monitor required approval and denial turnaround times for authorization requests
Must participate in rotating on-call for after hours referrals
Will work as part of a team to achieve compliance with call answer times and referral processing requirements
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of high school diploma and at least 2 years of experience in durable medical equipment field
Must have working knowledge of DME guidelines and managed care operations
Excellent organizational and computer skills required
