Commercial Underwriter - Columbus, OH; Reston, VA; Ft. Worth, TX; and/or Newport Beach, CA.RED CAPITAL GROUP seeks a highly motivated individual to join our Mortgage Banking Originations, Underwriting & Closing department as a Commercial Underwriter. The primary focus of the position will be to underwrite multifamily and seniors healthcare loan applications with an emphasis on Fannie Mae DUS and portfolio credits of Red Capital Group. The incumbent of this position will also underwrite all types of commercial real estate for conduit loan applications, prepare credit request presentations for loan committee and corporate credit committee and participate in the approval process for all loan applications, assist team members in evaluating real estate and business opportunities including risk assessment and pricing, and assist in the origination of loans and other financing opportunities. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required.
Previous experience in analyzing/underwriting real estate loans strongly preferred but not required.
Experience with Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac or a commercial bank strongly preferred but not required.
Ability to work well under pressure and adjust to varied work loads.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint).
