Commercial Lines Territory Manager

As the Commercial Lines Territory Manager you will manage and develop commercial lines underwriting functions for assigned territory to ensure growth in market share, production, and profitability to achieve territory business objectives within the overall branch plan. This will include providing technical guidance and direction to commercial underwriting personnel in the underwriting of commercial risks. Develop underwriters through motivation, training, and joint agency calls. Assure technical compliance through adequate underwriting controls. Conduct monthly underwriting file reviews to include specific comments regardingthe quality of account, adherence to underwriting guidelines, and proper use of underwriting resources. Play a direct personal role in developing high potential agents. To be considered you must offer a Bachelor's degree and 7 or more years underwriting experience. Comprehensive knowledge of commercial lines underwriting processes and procedures. Demonstrated negotiating and selling skills. Ability to effectively manage agencies. Demonstrated knowledge of the property and casualty insurance business and the independent insurance business environment. Certification or progress towards CPCU, CIC, IIA. REQUIREMENTS
To be considered you must offer a Bachelor's degree and 7 or more years underwriting experience. Comprehensive knowledge of commercial lines underwriting processes and procedures. Demonstrated negotiating and selling skills. Ability to effectively manage agencies.
