Brief Description:
•Evaluate and price new business throughout assigned territory.
•Monitor new submissions to the company.
•Monitor agent's book of business and suggest methods for improvement in production and losses, and develop marketing plans to achieve individual agent and region goals.
•Assist agents in resolving any underwriting related concerns.
•Ensure that agents have a complete understanding of existing and/or new Company products, practices, and services.
•Indirectly manage your inside underwriting team to achieve established goals.
•Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license as well as the ability to travel locally.

REQUIREMENTS
•5+ years commercial P&C carrier underwriting experience.
•Highly proficient in underwriting, pricing, and issuing all lines of business.
•Budget management and planning skills.
•Superior communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
•Strong marketing skills.
•Must be high achiever who is self-motivated, proactive, flexible, and able to work in an independent fast-paced environment.
•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience strongly preferred with AU, CIC or CPCU designations.
