Assist management in staffing, training, employee reviews, promotions and professional issues within the department. Assist management in training claims personnel in all state required Fair Claims Practices and Fraud. Prepare and provide claim reports for the department and for the insurance companies. Provide recommendations for improvements on work flow, efficiency and resolving customer complaints. Supervise daily adjuster activities, including, but not limited to, conducting file reviews, assisting in evaluating liability and damages and providing leadership to a team of between four and eight adjusters. Ensure and maintain proper fraud procedures, completing fraud referral forms and log books in compliance with the Department of Insurance regulations. Maintain approved qualified expert list for outside vendors to include independent appraisers, adjusters and discovery experts. Review and give approval on all undisputed coverage denials, evaluations, liability denials, within your authority. Attend all claims training as requested by management. Provide Day-to-Day training and feedback to each employee. Identify and solve employee problem areas, and promptly notify management of problems requiring management involvement. Set a positive example in the office though diligent work style, positive attitude, and professional dress and demeanor. REQUIREMENTS
Education and/or Experience:Bachelors Degree required in at minimum.A minimum of five years related experience with a minimum of two years auto claims experience required.Technical/Language/Mathematical Skills:A minimum Alpha/numeric data entry speed of 8,000 KSPH is required as well as the ability to demonstrate 10 key skills w/ speed and accuracy.Reasoning Ability:Perform duties within acceptable time and quality standards as set by the company. Have the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
