For more information, visit http://www.genworth.com.RESPONSIBILITIES: *Call claimants or their representatives after they have contacted the call center to initiate a long-term care claim. *Advise policyholder of policy coverage and benefit triggers. Ascertain medical data and history. *Make a decision about there being a reasonable expectation of benefit eligibility and get mutual agreement on how to proceed. *Document all calls clearly and concisely and complete follow-up work *Generate appropriate written correspondence to claimants *Handle multiple product lines. *Provide excellent customer service through proper phone protocol in a professional manner *Follow established protocols and procedures. *Help team achieve 24-hour cycle time target and other measures; meet individual goals *Other duties as assigned.Basic Qualifications:
RN or LVN *Able to determine expected time frame of ADL loss based on diagnosis and situation *Strong phone and customer service skills *A caring, compassionate attitude, in particular with elderly population *Organized and attentive to detail *Be reliable, punctual and a quick-study *A problem-solver *Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment. *Be computer literate (with emphasis on Windows & Microsoft Word) with proficient keyboard skills and able to learn new computer functions *A positive attitude and work well in a team environment *Work well with minimum supervisionPreferred Candidate Qualifications:
Two or more years of long-term care or home care experience *Insurance experience; familiarity with contract interpretation *Medicare knowledge *HIPAA experience
