Primary responsibilities include:




Providing care advocacy and utilization review via telephone for mental health and substance abuse cases




Authorizing inpatient and outpatient services based on medical needs and care guidelines




Presenting cases to the Medical Director for clinical questions



Documenting cases in the system

Participating in rounds and team meetings

Job Requirements:

Only licensed clinical mental health or RN professionals will be considered for this role. Three years of post-graduate clinical experience in mental health/chemical dependency is also required, as is a background in facility-based care (i.e. a hospital, skilled nursing facility, residential, or day-treatment programs). Managed care experience is preferred, and familiarity with Medicaid/Medicare and experience in psychological diagnosis would be helpful. Computer proficiency and solid keyboarding skills are essential.
