We are searching for mental health professionals with excellent communication skills to join our Van Nuys, CA after-hours team. As a Care Advocate, you would use your advanced clinical knowledge to perform telephonic care management while enjoying independence and opportunities for growth. **These roles offer a four-day work-week and a generous pay differential for later shifts.**



Key responsibilities include:
Working with members via telephone on various mental health treatment efforts
Assessing patient risk, and providing referrals
Authorizing inpatient admissions
Performing concurrent reviews
Corresponding with physicians and other providers on critical cases and reviews
Handling crisis calls as needed
Documenting all care management activities in our internal system

Job Requirements:

Candidates must be licensed in California as an LCSW, MFT or Ph.D. We will also consider RNs with a mental health / psychiatric background. Solid post-licensure clinical experience is also needed, ideally in counseling, admissions, inpatient/outpatient care or chemical dependence. Experience in a telephonic role is a plus, and managed care experience is preferred. Basic PC proficiency is essential. A Master's degree or higher is required.
