Associate Project Manager
The position is located in Northbrook, IL The purpose of the department is to lead the development of integrated consumer communications that help to build Allstate brand preference, to drive brand consistency across all media based on Allstate brand standards and guidelines, and to deliver those communications with operational excellence. This position requires an individual who can creatively and efficiently manage the day-to-day development and execution of consumer promotions and public relations programming. The candidate must possess a variety of competencies including collaboration, consensus building, comprehensive organizational skills, meticulous follow-through, reliable business sense, and the ability to plan and execute corporate sponsorship activities. Project management aptitude is essential. The individual will be responsible for: 1. Assisting in the creation and execution of consumer promotions, including, but not limited to: sweepstakes, events, sales incentives, and contests. 2. Assisting in the creation and execution of consumer public relations programs supporting the following areas: Allstate Financial, Sponsorship, Multicultural, and National/Local Advertising. 3. Conducting competitive market research of consumer promotions and public relations and proposing promo/pr opportunities that align with marketing strategies and leverage the current programs. 4. Establishing and cultivating relationships with promotion and PR agency partners. 5. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders and support functions, including Corporate Relations, Legal, Financial, Technology, Measurement, and Regional Marketing.
REQUIREMENTS
The skills required are: 1. Advanced - Strong oral and written communication skills and attention to detail 2. Intermediate - Experience with deadline driven environment 3. Intermediate - Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team 4. Intermediate - Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously Experience Required: A minimum of 5 years of related business experience in event marketing, promotion, consumer PR, on either the client or marketing agency side of the business. Experience in development of official rules and regulations associated with contests and sweepstakes in addition to managing or supervising a team. Exposure to developing materials for PR campaigns such as press releases, key messages, crisis communications, etc. Understanding of measurement and evaluation of promotions and PR programming on how it impacts business results is a big plus. Computer Proficiency: Experience with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Education: College degree - Preferred.
