Account Manager

For 92 years, Swett & Crawford has been the nation's leading wholesale insurance broker. A wholesale broker does not work directly with insureds. Rather, we serve as a key intermediary between the independent insurance agent and specialty carriers. We work with the insured's retail insurance agent to provide comprehensive, cost-effective commercial coverages and specialty programs for a wide variety of risks. We work with specialty carriers to provide commercial coverages to US businesses. And for 19 years, we have been the nation's largest wholesale insurance broker, placing nearly $3 billion in premium volume in our most recent fiscal year. Swett & Crawford seeks an experienced Account Manager for our Folsom office. Will assist insurance production personnel by:

Support producers by helping to market new and renewal business.
Assist in sales effort by preparing marketing materials.
Proofreading and verifying insurance related documents, policies and reports before sending out.
Handling day-to-day account issues.
Verifying certificates of insurance.
Sending out endorsements and audits.
Maintain policy files by requesting endorsements.
Preparing quotes, binders and invoices.
Preparing transactions for surplus lines filings.
Duties include photocopying, faxing, filing, and answering phones.
REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate will have/be:

A High School graduate.
Must have California P&C broker's license (required).
Minimum of 3 years of Insurance experience. 2 years of which must be in a retail or wholesale commercial brokerage environment.
Must have working knowledge of insurance industry and transaction of insurance placements.
Be self-motivated.
Detail and deadline oriented
Well organized
Must have excellent customer service skills.
Have proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Be able to handle and feel comfortable with multiple priorities at once.This is a full-time position.
