Account Executive - Transportation

Responsibilities: Evaluates prospective accounts to determine the acceptability of the risk and the services needed.

Provides service to accounts and works in conjunction with claims, loss control and underwriting to provide that service.

Solicits new accounts by phone, mail and in person. Coordinate marketing efforts in new areas as assigned, and will generally operate in a professional, marketing-oriented manner.

Maintains knowledge of underwriting procedures and practices of Transportation products.

Provides advice and support to other sales team members and assists in the development of new sales trainees.

Contacts include Underwriting, Customers, Claims, Parker Stevens, Accounts Receivable, Marketing, and Safety Sciences.Job Requirements
Qualifications:
College Degree or 4 or more years of related experience.

The candidate must possess thorough product knowledge of all Transportation products. Ability to professionally represent the company and to be highly motivated to meet sales objectives. 2 years previous sales experience, with selling techniques and processes is required. Must be able to meet the travel requirements of the job, up to 75%. Must have or be able to obtain within a reasonable time period a P&C insurance license. This position is eligible for assignment of a company vehicle. The incumbent must comply with all safety, company vehicle care, and maintenance policies outlined in the Leased Car Safety Program. A valid driver’s license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record are required.

Compensation and Benefits:
The starting salary can be up to $61,000 annually depending on experience and qualifications. Plus a Company Car.
