Wind Turbine Technician

Business Unit: GE Infrastructure, EnergyFunction: ServicesResponsibilities: *This position is responsible for the operations, maintenance, and repair of wind turbine generators at the Horse Hollow 1 Wind Farm near Abilene, TX.
Troubleshoots complicated mechanical and electrical problems on variable pitch, variable speed turbines.
Helps in all areas of site operations as directed by Site Lead.
Performs all mechanical and electrical component maintenance, repair or replacement of parts to correct malfunctions.
Perform a variety of Administrative duties as well as responsibility for EHS and other relevant compliances.
The successful applicant will also participate in an on-call schedule.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: *One year certificate from college or technical school; or 3+ months related experience or wind industry training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have or be able to obtain a valid drivers license.
Acceptable driving record.
Ability to climb towers up to 240' on a daily basis.
Competitive score on Mechanical & Technical Aptitude Written Test.
Must be able to pass a stress physical and background check.Desired: *Wind turbine experience.General: *This hourly position is located south of Abilene, TX.
