Vehicle Technician III

Vehicle Technician III is responsible for repairing and maintaining all types of vehicles in the Fleet Department including routinely performing preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance to ensure efficient vehicle operations. This position will work Monday through Friday from 2pm to 10:30pm.General Responsibilities:
Will be required to perform periodic forklift maintenance criteria specified by CCBCC.

Must complete all required paperwork, adhere to, and maintain high level of housekeeping.
Must be a self-starter and be able to perform well with minimal supervision.

Must adhere to all safety guidelines.Requirements:
Must have at least 2 years experience (5 years preferred)of recent Electronic Mechanic experience preferred.

Must have necessary tools to perform job.

Must be able to obtain Class A Commercial Driver's License. A candidate must have the ability to pass and maintain a D.O.T physical.

An excellent driving record is required. (A 7 year Motor Vehicle Report will be checked).
Must be self-motivated to troubleshoot, identify defects and make proper repairs.

Must have high school diploma
Must be able to lift 501bs or more
Must be able to work in a team environment
Must possess good communication skills, verbal, reading and writing
Must be able to work a flexible schedule and be able vary the start and finish times including weekends and holidays.

Must have annual inspector certification, be brake and D.O.T. certified with ASE certifications a plus.

Should have experience with various types of vehicles with a focus on tractor-trailers.

Must have a demonstrated proficiency in air brake systems, foundation brake, lighting, electrical and other automotive systems.

Must be self-motivated with a high degree of integrity and be able perform job duties with minimal supervision on a timely basis. Past job performance must reflect dependability, maturity, initiative, professional demeanor, and the ability to exercise sound judgment.
