Utility Worker - Mechanic III

Rest, maintain, repair and/or rebuilding of air compressors, generators, hot water systems and pumps. Work with electrical switchgear and related components, HVAC equipment and various other types of equipment related to a manufacturing operation. Perform preventative maintenance on all associated equuipment. Capable of reading blueprints, equipment schematics (paper-based) and mechanical drawings and ability to develop repair / parts lists as required. Complete assignments from written and oral instructions and provide daily update of projects status. Estimate job costs (internal time & materials) and work with customer and engineering groups to insure quality workmanship. Follow all documented safe job procedures, loc out/tag out programs and maintain a clean work environment at all times.

REQUIREMENTS


Proficient skills to maintain daily facilities operations, perform preventative maintenance and respond to emergency repairs of building mechanical equipment. Complete installation and relocation of mechancical equipment and machinery. Candidate should be capable of performing work in any related or lower classification job and assist all other trades as required.



High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Trade Certifications in electrical, plumbing, HVAC and motor controls are desired. Minimum of 3-5 years practical experience required. Required valid CA drivers license, ability to successfully obtain company license to operate forklifts (a few times per year, as needed - not a daily job duty), and other inter-company equipment.
