Truck Shop Maintenance Planner
Company: North America Mining Job Function: Installation, Maintenance And RepairJob Description:MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Establishes and monitors planned maintenance schedules for plant/equipment within assigned area. Conducts and participates in daily, weekly and monthly planning meetings with key stakeholders. Reviews, prioritizes and schedules work orders.
Establishes and maintains a maintenance history for all plant/equipment in the maintenance management system.
Prepares scopes of work, initiates requests for parts and materials and sets up contracts for services for planned maintenance activities. Generally interfaces with Global Sourcing department, but may deal directly with vendors for the provision of services and equipment.
Develops, monitors and adjusts preventive maintenance schedules for equipment. Maintains these schedules in the maintenance management system.
Collaborates in the planning and organization for planned production shutdowns.
Responsible for maintaining the integrity of information in the maintenance management system, for assigned area.
Assists with departmental budgets and weekly forecasting.
Performs other duties as needed.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education and/or experience equivalent to a High School Diploma or GED, supplemented by advanced training.
Five (5) years experience in mining industry or manufacturing environment (within maintenance and/or operations).
Knowledge of MIMS procedures and work flow.
Knowledge of site processes, equipment and infrastructure.
Knowledge of basic preventive maintenance on assigned equipment.
Skill in planning, prioritizing, and scheduling the maintenance of plant, vehicles, and equipment.
Work with minimal or no supervision and complete tasks in a timely manner.
Skill in utilizing computer databases to research, maintain, and update records and files.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions. Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards.
Work is in a mine or manufacturing plant setting, which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity, moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, toxic chemicals, explosives, fumes or airborne particles.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs and ladders, work on elevated platforms, talk, hear and see.
Occasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy objects (up to 30 pounds) during the course of the workday.
Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, or manufacturing plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required.
