Position Summary:
Under direct supervision of team leader remanufactures defective industrial control products returned by customers. Uses engineered test equipment to diagnose, analyze and remanufacture products according to remanufacturing policies and procedures.Essential Functions:
Under direct supervision of Remanufacturing Team Leader remanufactures electronic assemblies for industrial control products. This includes schematic and blueprint reading, mechanical assembly and disassembly, cleaning the returned device, hand soldering, following test instructions, use of test fixtures and diagnostic programs, working with hand tools. This also includes the use of test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, frequency counters, and power supplies. May use assembly and power tools such as drill press, grinder, rivet guns, crimp tools and band saw. May interact with team leader, engineering, customer service, purchasing, quality manager, or process manager to resolve an order issue. Responsible for timely completion of remanufacturing work orders assigned. This includes maintenance of information in order processing system, meeting corporate metrics and customer expectations of order processing time, and accurate completion of associated paperwork. Responsible for complying with plant quality, safety, and environmental policies while processing remanufacturing orders.
Education Required:
A two to four year degree in electronics from an accredited college, trade school, or military training is required. Equivalent experience is acceptable.Experience Required:
One to three years experience in an electronic repair environment is desired. Additional experience in statistical process control, working in a team environment, demonstrated ability in use of computers and diagnostic programs, quality control, is desired. Will train an entry-level person that meets educational requirements.Special Requirements:
Work requires the ability to move or manipulate product and/or test equipment ranging in weight from 5 to 300 pounds approximately ten percent of the time.
The mental and visual ability to read and interpret complex circuitry schematics and other engineering documentation approximately twenty percent of the work time.
Must have the mobility to travel to other work areas in the facility. Position may require travel to other corporate locations for meetings, training, and other similar purposes.
Position may require working with high voltage, 230 VAC, 480 VAC, or 575 VAC.
Requires the mental and visual ability to read and interpret complex computer programs and operating system information approximately ten percent of the time.
