Supervisor - Crushing Maintenance

Company: North America Mining Job Function: Management Job Description: Major Responsibilities: Responsible for Safety and Environmental issues, maintenance and production in the Fine Crusher and Primary Crusher Department.

Assigns, supervises, and reviews work of assigned work unit. Implements production plans according to approved schedule.

Conducts performance evaluations on subordinate staff. Trains staff in safety procedures.

Prepares estimates of the staffing, materials, and equipment requirements for projected work activities.
- Excellent safety and environmental record.

Experience in conveyor belt splicing, crusher overhauls and troubleshooting, idler change out, liner change out and vibrating screen maintenance and troubleshooting.

Education and/or experience equivalent to a High School Diploma or GED supplemented by advanced leadership training or education up to or including a Bachelors or advanced degree in closely related area and five (5) years related operational experience including a supervisory or lead experience. Additional certifications or licensure appropriate to the job may be required.Criteria/Conditions:
Work is performed in a mine or manufacturing plant which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity, moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, toxic chemicals, explosives, fumes or airborne particles.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs and ladders, work on elevated platforms, talk, hear and see.

Occasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy to heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) during the course of the workday.

Personal protective equipment is required on a regular basis, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety foot wear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and other protective equipment as required.
