Position Objective:

The prime function of the Mechanic is to carry out preventive maintenance and repairs of rental equipment either at the customer job site or at the profit center location.


Position Responsibilities:

Service equipment as required to ensure proper operating condition at the job site
Possess good customer service skills to effectively communicates equipment issues with customers and supervisor to ensure customer satisfaction
Perform safety inspections on equipment and maintains a clean and safe work environment
Conduct preventive maintenance when needed
Clean work vehicle and work area as necessary to maintain a safe work environment
Meet all company, governmental and equipment related safety requirements
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or authorized personnel.

REQUIREMENTS
Some Trade School preferred


1 -2 years experience with similar equipment


Own and possess ability to safely and effectively use mechanic's tools
Good customer relations skills
Professional attitude and appearance
Ability to communicate equipment issues and understand job assignments
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to prioritize work assignments
Ability to troubleshoot equipment problems including (but not limited to) mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components.
Exhibit personal and professional integrity
Exhibit a clear understanding of the necessity of equipment safety
Must be flexible regarding work schedule and willing to work overtime or be on call when necessary or assigned
Must exhibit a high level of safety consciousness
Possess a working knowledge of individual equipment design and safety requirements
