Small Engine Repair PGE

Systems Division provides select Government, commercial, and international customers value-added, total worldwide systems solutions for their air and missile defense, air traffic control, communications, command and control, range, spacelift, surveillance, and force protection needs, as well as full logistics support services for facilities and equipment.POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Lead, Heavy Equipment Mechanic, assists in troubleshoots problems in both tactical and non-tactical components. Determines nature and extent of repairs required. Tests and adjusts electrical systems, relays and current voltage regulations.
MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES:1. Repair and maintain engines for generators, compressors, and similar equipment.
2. Dismantle engines, using hand tools, examines parts for defects and cleans parts.
3. Uses diagnostic equipment, checks, cleans, and replaces parts as needed.
4. Conducts major overhaul jobs by disassembling and cleaning parts, repairing components such as generators and water pumps, and replacing minor parts.
5. Records repairs made and parts used.
6. Maintains tools and equipment, and cleans work areas.7. Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Education: High School graduate or equivalent.
Experience: Two years experience in general automotive maintenance.
