We are seeking an experienced Refinery Maintenance Reliability Superintendent for one of our unique crude oil clients - a refinery involved in a collection of complex processes such as distillation, desulfurization, fluid catalytic cracking, alkylation, delayed coking, catalytic reforming, isomerization, and sulfur recovery.
Position Overview:Grow your career in this position that is accountable for the planning, organization, supervision and control of routine and emergency maintenance for facility equipment, structures and grounds.
Expand your horizons being responsible for managing performance and professional development of first and second level supervisory employees.
Excel your abilities as you represent this department in maintenance issues requiring refinery-wide coordination and working with the other Maintenance Superintendents to assure implementation of maintenance initiatives.
Be accountable for ensuring that maintenance activities are completed in a safe and cost effective manner and also ensure a consistent administration of the USW labor agreement, facility procedures and guidelines and company policies.
Refinery Maintenance Reliability Superintendent Duties:As the Refinery Maintenance Reliability Superintendent you will report directly to the Maintenance Manager of the refinery operations.
Responsible for the communication of plans, goals and targets from upper management to assigned work group.
Maintaining and providing support to the Planning and Scheduling processes which facilitate generation of a work plan, allowing efficient completion of maintenance activities.
Providing of information to the management team to help focus on critical reliability issues.
Setting and Evaluating performance standards for Maintenance Coordinator, Front Line Supervisors and Planners and provides direction for career and skill development and performance.
Monitoring progress of area and department against plan and provides feedback to facility Management.
Overseeing that the Reliability Group confirms an adherence to both company and industry accepted practices.
Leading, supervising, developing and managing the performance of area personnel.
Responsible for setting budgets, goals and objectives for assigned work area.
Assessing craft employee needs, issues and concerns and facilitating a resolution.
Supporting and maintaining processes to assure that resources (materials, tools, equipment, etc.) are available to the craftsmen to allow efficient completion of assigned work.
Management of human resources and maintenance processes to assure that facility assets are maintained in a safe and efficient manner.
Monitoring KPIs for Maintenance Organization and assigned work area.
Responsible for the seeking of new techniques for improving the inspection practices.
Setting safety expectations, verifying, understanding, insuring that appropriate maintenance and safety procedures are followed and addresses unsafe behavior.
Overseeing the efforts to optimize reliability of fixed and rotating equipment.
Responsible for assuring that effective, meaningful and interactive safety meetings are held.
Responsible for assuring that SH&E reporting procedures and incident investigation procedures are followed.
Facilitating the use of Failure Analysis concepts for the plant.
Selecting and qualifying the repair contractors and shops.

REQUIREMENTS
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:Bachelors degree from a four-year college or university, preferably in Mechanical Engineering or a related Engineering Major.
Minimum of 10 years refinery experience in Maintenance Reliability with a plant involved in production that includes gasoline, diesel and jet fuels, chemicals and other refined petroleum products.
Minimum of 10 years refinery experience in Maintenance Reliability at a refinery involved in a collection of complex processes such as distillation, desulfurization, fluid catalytic cracking, alkylation, delayed coking, catalytic reforming, isomerization, and sulfur recovery.
Minimum of 5 years in a Maintenance Reliability Superintendent position being accountable for the planning, organization, supervision and control of routine, and emergency maintenance for facility equipment, structures and grounds.
Minimum of 5 years in a Maintenance Reliability Superintendent position managing performance and professional development of first and second level supervisory employees.
Minimum of 5 years in a Maintenance Reliability Superintendent position representing the department in maintenance issues requiring refinery-wide coordination and working with the other Maintenance Superintendents to assure implementation of maintenance initiatives.
Minimum of 5 years in a Maintenance Reliability Superintendent position ensuring that maintenance activities are completed in a safe and cost effective manner.
Minimum of 5 years in a Maintenance Reliability Superintendent position ensuring a consistent administration of the United Steel workers labor agreement, facility procedures and guidelines and company policies.
Minimum of 5 years in a Maintenance Reliability Superintendent position possessing an expert rotating equipment knowledge of pumps, compressors, turbines and motors.
Minimum of 5 years in a Maintenance Reliability Superintendent position with a very good understanding of the inspection requirements involved with a refinery complex.
