This on site computer help desk technician will provide level 1 support. This employee will work help desk tickets for various computer, printing, phone, Office application, and network related issues. They will provide hands on support for 100 users (spread across 5 sites) and telephone based support for remote users. This position will require some travel. This will be a full-time, temporary to permanent position. Company benefits and insurance coverage will be available once permanent employment status offered. The pay range is $15-20 per hour, depending on experience and skills.
Primary Responsibilities•Work help desk tickets for various computer, printing, phone (PBX), Office application, and network related issues.
•Provide level 1 support for 100 users (spread across 5 sites) which will be hands on support for on site users and telephone based support for remote users.
•Perform computer staging and application setup.
•Foster and promote helpful and positive interaction with the user community.
REQUIREMENTS
Required Skills and Experience•strong troubleshooting skills
•proficient in Windows XP professional and Windows 2000 Professional
•experience troubleshooting Microsoft Office Professional, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel
•advanced hardware knowledge of laptop and desktop computers
•experience with Windows Server, Active Directory and user account administration is preferred
•computer network skills such as TCP/IP and DNS•certifications like A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications are a plus
•excellent customer relations and communication skills
•ability to work independently and as a team member under little to no on-site supervision
•3-5 years computer technician experience necessaryPhysical Requirements•ability to lift up to 50 lbsAll candidates must be able to pass the following to be considered for job placement:•Pre-employment Drug Screening
