PC / LAN Administrator

Alicare Medical Management is a mid-sized medical cost management company. We offer an employee friendly atmosphere, terrific benefits, and the opportunity to grow and develop your career. We are currently seeking an experienced PC/LAN Administrator for our Salem, NH Office.

Responsibilities:
•Provide hands on technical support performing installation, repair, and maintenance of PCs and related software and hardware
•Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software failures and identify network problems when related to desktop PCs
•Coordinate with end users and project manager in support of the desktop environment and the business needs of the user with emphasis on customer communications
•Assist DBA with reporting needs for the business
•Automate recurring administrative processes

Must have experience with the following related experience:

*Servers and Networked Applications
-Familiar with Dell and HP servers
-Familiar with Microsoft technologies:
-Patching and Windows Update Server
-Active Directory Group policy
-Virtual Server technology
-SQL Server
-Windows Terminal Server
-Windows 2000
-Windows 2003

*Familiar with the following applications a plus:
-Wisdom
-Cerme
-Centramax
-Filemaker
-Crystal Reports
-Familiar with backup and recovery of servers and applications using ARCServe
-Working knowledge of Business Continuity Planning

*Networking and Telephony
-Familiar with Local Area Network topologies
-Familiar with Wireless Network topologies
-Familiar with Wide Area Network topologies
-Familiar with Call Center applications
-Familiar with remote access using VPN and RDP
-Desktops and Applications
-Expertise with Microsoft operating systems that includes support knowledge of:
-Windows 2000
-Windows XP
-Deployment of roaming profiles
-Microsoft Office with a working knowledge of Microsoft Access and the ability to upgrade developed databases to latest version of Access
-Virtual PC
-Symantec Ghost
-Symantec Anti-virus
REQUIREMENTS
•3 years related experience
•4 year degree
•Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE)
•Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed team
•Willing to support a 24/7 operation / on-call for all networked sites
•Able to travel to sites in NY, PA, NJ, and MA
•Prior experience in the healthcare industry is a plus
