Operations and Maintenance Helper - CCI

Performs a variety of semi-skilled tasks and manual labor in support of the operation and maintenance of groundwater treatment systems and field sampling. Duties include assisting in well maintenance, grounds keeping, and facility maintenance activities and may include field sampling (groundwater, surface water, soil, landfill gas, and sediment) and treatment system performance sampling.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

Follows oral and written directions.

Understands and follows sound safety principles and practices.

Establishes and maintains cooperative relationships with those contacted during the course of work.

Assist with well maintenance activities including well redevelopment, pump and motor replacement, monitoring well repairs, and decommissioning.

Load and transport materials and equipment to job sites. Mixing and pouring small quantities of concrete.

perate mowers, weed trimmers, and other common power equipment. Perform manual labor such as, but not limited to, painting, cleaning, lifting, and digging.

May support surface marking of pipelines, fiber optic lines, and other buried lines associated with the AFCEE treatment systems under direct supervision.
<li.Must possess a valid Massachusetts vehicle operating license. On-job-training provided with work under direct supervision.
Mechanical and/or machine maintenance experience a plus but not required.

Documenting work in logbook or on field data forms.

Maintenance experience required. Background and drug test required.
