Network Technical Specialist

Our Information Services department located in Gibbsboro, New Jersey is currently seeking a full-time Network Technical Specialist who will assist in the network system maintenance and testing. Monitors, repairs, and assists in the installation of data communications hardware on the multi-site LAN. Performs diagnostics to identify communications or hardware related operating problems. Performs monitoring and answers Help Desk calls to identify and resolve hardware problems as they occur. Follows established procedures to correct identified problems. Maintains technical documentation and standard operating procedure manuals. Regularly interfaces with vendors to resolve problems. Alerts supervisor and other technical personnel to recurring problems. Assists in the troubleshooting and repair of T1s, ISDN, terminal servers and cabling.

REQUIREMENTS
Requirements include: undergraduate degree in Computers / Information Systems or related area preferred, or equivalent work experience. At least 2 years experience in data communications troubleshooting preferred. CISCO certification is preferred. Valid Drivers License required as local travel is required throughout the Virtua Health campuses/locations.
