FOX is searching for a Network Administrator/PC Support to maintain our network and provide ongoing technical support for end users. The successful candidate will possess strong skills in both day-to-day administration of an MS Windows 2003 network and provide hardware/software support to the entire organization. Strong experience in both areas is mandatory.

The current network includes Windows 2000/2003 Server and Exchange 2003 (front OWA and back end). Experience with AD associated technologies such as DNS and DHCP is required. PC help desk includes providing support to approximately 40 user desktops (100% XP), remote laptops (VPN), and Windows Mobile Devices. The majority of users are high powered individuals who require immediate response to problems and a certain amount of TLC.

Active Directory is currently implemented, and it would be expected that the applicant would be able to manage and expand FOX’s usage of AD, including Group Policies and security groups. Experience with SSL VPN solutions required. Experience with security architecture for a web application environment utilizing IIS and SQL Server 2005 required. Familiarity with spam solutions such as MXLogic a plus.
REQUIREMENTS
Job Requirements:
•Maintain network hardware and software, including servers, workstations, router, firewall, modems, printers, switches, hub and cabling and related software
•Create user and e-mail accounts for employees; perform server backups and recovery
•Monitor network to ensure efficient and effective use to maximize the firm’s use of technology
•Provide internal customers with technology solutions based on established processes, procedures, and firm policies and help end users better understand/use technology for their jobs
•Troubleshoot and research network systems and applications, and recommend solutions and improvements

Additional Qualifications:
•Two to three years experience in all aspects of network administration utilizing Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft Exchange
•Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment that requires frequent attention shifts from the network environment to the PC environment and vice versa
•Proactive, self-starter able to work with limited supervision and prepared to take full responsibility for the role’s operations, including working extended hours on occasion
•Exceptional time and project management skills
•Solid written and verbal communications skills
•Demonstrated ability to successfully interface with all levels of personnel within a company
