Newmont Mining Corporation is seeking to fill positions in their Nevada Operations. the Carlin Operations are located on the renowned Carlin Trend that contains more than 20 major gold deposits. Most of the 2,000 employees reside in Elko, Spring Creek, and Carlin, NV. Newmont also has operations on the Valmy Trend. Most of the 1,400 employees at these sites reside in Winnemucca and Battle Mountain, NV.

FIXED MECHANICS
***$2000-$5000 SIGNING BONUS***
Underground Fixed Mechanics will conduct mechanical repairs to provide continuous operation of plant facilities. The mechanic will use a variety of hand tools, power tools, bench grinders and band saws, and will operate welding and cutting torch equipment. Use of hand tools includes shoveling for pre-maintenance machinery and equipment clean-up. Employees will operate light to medium vehicles including backhoes and dump trucks.

MOBILE MECHANICS SURFACE AND UNDERGROUND OPERATIONS
***$2000-$5000 SIGNING BONUS***

Skill levels, from mechanic helper to journeyman, with pay depending on experience. Previous experience in a mining environment is beneficial but not required. Job duties will include performing repairs, installations, inspections and preventive maintenance to provide continuous operation of mine equipment to achieve production goals. Mechanics will have the ability to operate production equipment to perform maintenance functions. Must be able to communicate repair issues, job status and work order history verbally and in writing. Must demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a team environment with a positive safety attitude.
