Manufacturing - Plant Technician - Henderson
Plant technicians are hired at entry level as members of a work team. Technician work teams are responsible for keeping production flowing, for meeting performance goals, and for maintaining the high level of quality that consumers expect from our products. Technicians do various types of work from running packing equipment to controlling the process from a computer terminal, or performing preventive maintenance on equipment. Technicians are expected to get involved, take charge of situations, and confront business-related problems. Technicians work in a manufacturing operation that operates 7 days/week, 24 hours/day. Shift schedule is primarily 12-hour rotating shifts with occasional overtime. Must have strong technical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Must have at least 2 years experience in manufacturing processes including operating and maintaining automated equipment, computer systems, and/or product distribution systems OR must have at least 2 years technical training beyond high school such as technical college, military experience, or on-the-job training in manufacturing/technical environment.
Must be 18 years or older with at least a high school diploma or equivalent, have a stable work history, be able and willing to rotate shifts, and be willing to complete each step of the pre-employment process (12-15 hours), including application, testing (math, quality, mechanical, teamwork), in-depth interview, physical examination, drug and background checks.
Must be a U. S. Citizen or national, permanent resident, refugee or asylee, or temporary resident under the legalization program of the 1986 Immigration Act. P&G does not offer practical training positions nor sponsor foreign citizens to obtain work visas or permanent residency (except for certain highly specialized roles such as some R&D positions requiring Doctorate degrees).
